The origins of satay are unclear, but it is a widespread popular dish throughout Asia. ACE’s version of satay has a different flavor than the Indonesian or Thai satay that use the turmeric which give the dish the yellow color. We use hoisin sauce gives this our recipe a different flavor. We coat the fried tofu and cabbage in satay, chucks of garlic, and red pepper flakes. We mix the vermicelli noodles into the hot pot. Bring the hot pot to a boil and it will be served sizzling & steaming HOT!
